MEET OUR TEAM
Welcome to Armored Exteriors. We are a licensed and insured company proudly serving Montana's Flathead Valley

Why the roofing business?
After spending 15 years as an insurance claims adjuster traveling to some of the worst storm damaged areas and seeing how claims were being handled, Dusty Bertalot discovered the majority of homeowners really needed a champion to help guide them through the often complex, claims process. He spent a great deal of his time educating them on how to work with contractors to not only ensure that their home be put back into the shape it was in before a storm, but that it also be brought up to current code to withstand the next. With a true desire to do more than just file paperwork to help families recover, Armored Exteriors was established in 2018 with a focus on replacing those storm damaged roofs and using its vast experience to fairly secure a policy’s full coverage for each homeowner in order to leave every home better than it was before.
Dusty and his team take great pride in making the overall and somewhat stressful process (from inspection to final installation) seamless for its customers. They also pay very close attention to all the details around ventilation and the overall roofing system to help customers reduce costs on both heating & cooling expenses moving forward.
Since its inception, Armored Exteriors superior customer service and best-in-class roofing system installations have allowed the company to expand services to include Commercial Roofing and Gutter Systems as well.
COMMUNITY
A Big Believer in Giving Back
As our company continues to grow, so will our commitment to giving back to our community.
Armored Exteriors is a roofing business committed to serving our community while bringing honor to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We strive to honor His words, "Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith." Galatians 6:10. In line with this belief, we are proud to give away a roof each year, through our Raise the Roof program, for an individual or family that selflessly gives of their time and energy to help others. Read more about our projects and see how we can all honor Him by helping others.
Let's Raise the Roof!
In 2022, Armored Exteriors launched its Raise the Roof program by installing a brand new roof for a deserving family!
It all started with an ordinary roof inspection and estimate at a customer's home, and subsequent follow-ups. But as the owners of Armored (Dusty & Lissa) got to know the Greel family, they realized they were anything but ordinary. They were blown away by their commitment to serving others and how they are teaching those values to their children.
Billy Greel, in addition to being an active dad, helps run The Samaritan House, a local nonprofit seeking to end homelessness in the Flathead Valley by providing housing while helping to find employment. There is no job too big or small for Billy and he is always rolling up his sleeve where there are needs.
Becky, is a busy stay-at-home mom, who often coordinates home-school community activities. Every week their whole family volunteers their time and creativity to serve in Calvary Chapel Whitefish's WOW (Wee-Ones-Worship) program that teaches the bible to children 4-8 years old. Each member of the family can be found behind the scenes, on stage or helping organize and excite kids every Sunday.
The Greel family exemplifies a family that is committed to serving our community.
----
Each year Armored Exteriors will open up nominations (nominate yourself or someone you know) who is in need of a roof and is committed to serving others! That service to our community could be through a job, military or first responder service, volunteer work, and/or any other contributions. We are excited to learn about the good work that is being done in our Valley and can't wait to Raise the Roof and celebrate another outstanding community member in 2023!
